From consultation and design through to production, quality control and delivery, every step is managed with attention to detail and a strong focus on creating apparel your team will be proud to wear.
Step 1 - Enquiry
Every project begins with understanding your team, club or organisation and what you want your apparel to represent.
During the enquiry stage, we gather information around your sport, garment requirements, quantities, colours, logos, deadlines and overall vision for the project. Whether you already have a clear concept or only a rough idea, this stage helps shape the direction of the final apparel range.
We work closely with teams, schools, clubs and event organisers to ensure every project starts with clear communication and a strong understanding of expectations from the outset.
Step 2 - Design
Once the project brief is established, the design process begins.
Wai Teamwear works collaboratively with clients to develop fully custom apparel concepts tailored specifically to their team, culture and identity. Every design is created from the ground up with consideration for performance, presentation and functionality across all garments.
This stage may include:
custom colour development
sponsor integration
Māori design elements
garment styling
typography and numbering
matching apparel systems across multiple garment types

Step 3 - Confirmation
Before production begins, all final details are carefully reviewed and confirmed to ensure complete confidence in the finished apparel range.
This stage focuses on refining and approving every element of the project, including:

fabric selections
garment styles and cuts
sizing requirements
sponsor placement
player names and numbers
quantities and customisations
Detailed mockups and garment layouts are reviewed collaboratively to ensure accuracy across the entire order before moving into production.

Step 4 - Production
Once approved, garments move into professional sublimated production.
Using premium manufacturing processes and performance fabrics, every item is produced to achieve vibrant colours, durable finishes and comfortable athletic performance across both playing and off-field apparel.
Throughout production, careful attention is given to consistency, print quality and garment construction to ensure the final apparel meets both visual and performance expectations.
This stage transforms concepts and mockups into finished teamwear ready for competition, training and representation.
Step 5 - Delivery
Before delivery, every order is checked locally to ensure garments meet expected quality, sizing and production standards.
This process includes reviewing:

Once quality control is complete, garments are prepared and delivered ready for your team, club or event.
